I've been a fan of Nick Perry from the beginning. He has amazing athleticism and is incredibly strong. I've said before that he could end up being the best pass rusher the Packers have, which would allow CM3 to play a more wild-card/rover role. Now, that may be a little far fetched, as his play hasn't been what I expected to this point. However, it doesn't surprise me that he's coming into his own. He may not make the best all round line backer, but if they can keep his number one priority to be a pass rusher, I think he will succeed. If Perry doesn't become a good pass rusher, I think it will be a coaching fail. There is so much to work with.
Hopefully he has finally turned the corner and will be a consistent pass rusher. If so, this defense will be very tough, especially with the improved defensive line play and Hayward coming back. Datone Jones should eventually come around, too. The Packers have a lot of talent on defense.
