Game against he Lions was pretty good. Only issue I have is the goofy pass calls on 3rd and 1 and 3rd and 2. The WR screen after a drive that the RB's were getting 4+ yards a pop seemed really foolish to me.

I watched portions of other games and they ran it. Does Mike McCarthy think he's going to catch someone off guard? I would think moving the chains is more important.

I could not agree more Zero2Cool. Wow. That was incredibly disappointing seeing him screwing around down there, throwing away good drives and great opportunities to score. Run that thing down their throats and demoralize them.

Why get cute? It makes him look incredibly foolish. Get a set and pound the rock in there!

it is certainly fun to watch the OL beat the snot out of the defense and get the needed 2-4 yards right up the middle. Imposing your will on them and the defense not being able to do anything about it is great sport. It is Lombardi-like.

However I don't have a problem of trying to pass when the defense expects a run. You should get the needed yards and you just may get a whole bunch more.

That is the great thing about being in a short yardage offense. Aaron has time to look over the defense and make the proper adjustment.

As I said in another thread, How do we know that was actually the call that Mike McCarthy made. Rodgers has a run/pass option on every play and maybe Rodgers went to the pass. I am sure on 3rd and 1 Mike McCarthy called for a deep go route.
