Maddening is right. McCarthy has made some really poor calls with the game on the line. Especially in short yardage. It would be nice to have some confidence. His players are showing up too often unprepared or injured, and he chokes with simple fundamental football play calls.

How can you not like this guy. He has a smile on his face no matter what. That's why I loved that we drafted him. From the day he walked in and carried himself. I just love him, and his passion. Even when things didn't go his way he still says "gods gotta plan" No excuses. I like that mindset. This whole teams seems to have that mindset. I don't think there is one selfish guy on this team to be honest. That is why I love the Packers win or lose they have the right guys.

I like Franklin a lot and I think he showed that he deserves to be playing with the team on Sundays. He needs to hold onto that ball and stay on his feet in a play like that. Speaking of that play, big screw up on Mike McCarthy there. Mike wasn't really making good calls all game, hence the little bruhaha between him and Rodgers.

Franklin isn't going to be the back that is picking up blitzes but he did just fine doing so today...because he had to. Not going to lie, I was laughing during some of them because he was relentlessly throwing every part of his body in front of the bigger guys. Good work by the rookie.

Franklin is going to have a bright future with this team.

It doesn't help that our offensive line has 2 number one picks "on the shelf". To talk about what might have been, a healthy Collins, Heyward, and Burnett and this defense would be pretty awesome, I believe. Same could be true with Sherrod and Bulaga...oh well...

Of the games this year, Franklin has looked the best of any on the team. He was patient and exploded through the holes. This was close to the best running of one of our backs with the zone blocking since Grant was busting all those long TDs. Would like for him to have not fumbled on that 4th and 1, but he was tucking the ball away and had both hands. the problem IMO is that they had him lined up to close and combined with the Oline getting beat off the ball, he had no time once receiving the hand off. I would like to see him set up at least another yard or two deeper. It would give him an extra fraction to see, secure the ball and adjust.

The kids does look good, even in blocking, he wasn't trying to cut he was taking on the defenders well. After the bye, will be interesting when lacy gets back.
