GREEN BAY, Wis. -- After Saturday's 19-7 preseason season win over the St. Louis Rams, Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy reiterated his philosophy when it comes to exhibition games.

"Trust me I want to win every play, every game," McCarthy said. "We're a young football team, we've got a lot of guys battling to be on our 53, and we've got to make sure we create opportunities for those individuals."

With that in mind, here's a look at some players who helped themselves against the Rams.

Johnny Jolly:
Micah Hyde:
Eddie Lacy:
B.J. Coleman:
Mason Crosby:

Coleman can't dictate the skill level of the opposition but I have to take his success with a grain of salt. He would most likely not looked as well facing better competition. PS again.
Hyde may have helped himself last night but it is apparent he still has a ways to go and he will need help over the top at times.

I think Palmer and Mulumbo helped themselves also. Both took a step in the right direction, especially Palmer who had been nearly invisible.

Im feeling a bit weird ... but I was actually rooting for Crosby ... I think its just because I don't like travecia or however you spell his name. Left footer and takes too many steps and doesn't have the strength.

wonder how that kicker in Detroit is doing ...

Mike called out pretty much the whole team right to the media today and instead talked up Seattle especially on defense. I don't think I have seen coach like this in a while. There is definitely a fire under his ass and I hope it translates.

He definitely wants more energy, and if they're performing like he wants he'll be cranky.
