Statistically, he's only had one bad year ('10 at 73.2%). He has been almost automatic from inside of 40, hitting 69 of 72 (95.8%) for his career.
In comparison, Crosby has hit 95 of 106 from inside 40 (89.6%).
Carpenter has also had more success from distance, hitting a higher percentage of his kicks from distance and showing some leg with longs of 60 and 58 in 2010 and 2011 respectively.
I know it is harder to kick in Green Bay than Miami, so it is not an apples to apples comparison. It's also a limited sample size. That said, I don't think it could hurt to bring the guy in for a look.
