Valid point, but still, why not at least give him some chances on 1st and 2nd down?

And, his touchdown run in the Lions game wasn't third and super long. It was a very clutch run.

Actually, I was just being facetious. It was more of a jab at McCarthy's playcalling than anything else.

To my defense I didn't get to watch the Lions game. but where he apparently did most of his damage..

So I am humbled by his one game and a handful of other carries.

Still expected more out of him.. so apparently I will take that up as an issue with the playcalling of MM.

Min Game..

Packers 2nd drive

3rd & 13 - (5:21 left - 1st Qtr) Jackson for 8 off Left Tackle. (fumble recovered by Jennings for 1st)

1 & 10 - (6:52 left - 2nd Qtr) Left end for 3 yards

1& 10 - (4:51 left - 2nd Qtr) Right End for 3 yards

2&10 - (1:44 left 2nd Qtr) Right Guard no gain.

1& goal (7:09 left 3rd Qtr) Left tackle for -2

1&10 (2:38 left in 4th) Left Tackle no Gain

2&10 (2:34 left in 4th) Right End for -1

3&11 (2:29 left in 4th) Left Tackle for -1

Det Game

2 & 6 (7:03 in 1st) Left end for 9

1&10 (6:12 in 3rd) Right End for 10

1&10 (5:33 left in 3rd) Left end for 7

1&10 (7:41 in the 4th) Right end for 2

1&10 (6:18 in the 4th) Left Tackle for 2

1&10 (5:10 in the 4th) Right end for 12

3&1 (3:37 in the 4th) Right end for 19 (td)

Dal Game

2&5 (11:53 left in the 3rd) Right guard for 9

1&10 (11:13 left in the 3rd)Left end for 8

OK, that Cows game, 3 rushes for 20 yards? Why only 3 carries that game? Not sure how many Grant had, but Jackson was probably looking better, yet got less carries.

Thank you pack93z. I didn't think all his carries were 3rd down, much less 3rd and 15 🙂 I don't think we've had THAT many 3rd and MUCHO longs this season, yet.

As per why Grant or Jackson didn't get more carries during the Dallas game? Who knows? Grant was averaging I think four or five yards a pop.

Both RB's look like garbage, grant has severe fumbleitis, and Jackson still can't make a cut and find a hole.

Take away that drop that ended with an INT and Grant looks far worse. It's also partly because our OL sucks.

Brandon Jackson has not been getting enough opportunities to run the ball. So lets relax with all the Brandon Jackson=Disappoinment stuff

Thats exactly the way i see it. The guy isn't getting the chances.
I'd put Jackson in and sit Grant.
Maybe Grant is still hurt, and needs time to heal. I HOPE thats what it is......and it's not that he just sucks.

Besides that drop that ended up being an INT, Jackson's looked as good as Grant. If anyone needs to step it up, it's Ryan Grant, not Brandon Jackson. Jackson's not the one getting the fat paycheck.

"zombieslayer" wrote:

Oh, so you're saying since Brandon Jackson hasn't gotten a big paycheck it's okay for him to do bad? You guys are almost as bad as Yankee fans with this whole money thing. Regardless of how much they're getting, they're loaded. It doesn't make a difference how much money they're making when they are on the field. They are expected to perform, regardless of their dollar value.
