I don't hate Harrel. He knows the system a hell of a lot better than Coleman, that's for sure. But obviously they brought in Young for a reason. I honestly didn't think they were gonna sign him, because the Packers don't do these kind of things. But they probably saw ability/potential that the 2 Backups we have now certainly don't have.

Released by Buffalo, and out of football for a year... and he becomes the automatic #2 QB? I highly, highly doubt that happens, or that he could beat out Harrell, who has been in this system, developing, for years.

I do get it though. All these people discredit Harrell because he tripped and made a bad play in one game. I think I may be one of the few Graham Harrell fans. That's OK. I think Harrell will prove to be pretty damn good with his opportunities.

Nothing against Young at all. He just has a long road. This isn't 2006...

I think BJ spends another year on the PS. He's got the potential, but he's still indecisive. Hasn't completely taken control of the position yet.

Thing is, the Titans ran the Bill Parcells offense, didn't they? Might be a WCO learning curve. We'll find out soon if Young is willing to put in the time and effort.

Vince Young was a monster, monster head case. Maybe McCarthy can work with him and get his focus back on the game, and on being a good QB. No other staff could be better for him.

Nothing against Young at all. I just think the roster spots my be too tight to keep 3 QBs. I doubt Ted keeps him for very long, but I have been so wrong, so many times with some personnel moves.

I do agree Coleman is buying another year on the PS - and he may not last there.

#2 will not be handed to anyone. Certainly not Young. I simply think he will work hard and earn the job.

Maybe Vince Young does find his inner QB working with Tom Clements and Mike McCarthy... That could be very good (but it sure isn't going to happen in just 3-4 weeks). However, my guess is he benefits our team being on scout teams in preparation for some of the running QB teams we will be facing, with the trade off being Young gets a shot on a roster and is able to learn from some of the best in the business. I wouldn't doubt if that played into their thinking in signing Young.

Who knows? Ted has liked this player for years. Now he has him on his roster, and maybe he carves out a spot for him to further develop by cutting another player when we trim to 53. All I know is we have a ton of talent, and that roster cut down will be difficult to make.

Uh, he looks pretty good...

I may be wrong but I highly doubt Ted Thompson would sign the guy just to be a camp practice dummy. I'm not saying he makes the team but I don't think he'd be here if he didn't have a shot. Don't they have roster limits in place now? Why would you take one of them up for a guy you have no intentions to keep around.

beast (9h) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (9h) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (19h) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (19h) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (21h) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22h) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (23h) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (23h) : Thank you
wpr (23h) : Z, glad you are feeling better.
wpr (23h) : My son and D-I-L work for UM. It's a way to pick on them.
Zero2Cool (23h) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (23h) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (23h) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Nah, you see Lions OC leaving to be HC of Bears is directly related to Packers.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ohhhhhhh Zero is in TROUBLE
packerfanoutwest (21-Jan) : Zero, per your orders, check Bearshome, not packershome
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Then he'll land with another team and flourish.
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Ben going to Bears. He'll be out in 3 years.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jan) : what's so funny?
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
