A week can't go by without at least one Internet post proclaiming a Green Bay Packers breakout player of the year — and today's was found at nflmocks.com. Mentioned in the top three possibilities for a breakout season were Randall Cobb, Eddie Lacy, and Nick Perry. All of these are excellent choices and all have [...]

Alex Green, Andrew Quarless, sounds like McMillian's gone through puberty.

If they all break out, there will be a win in the the Super Bowl. If one doesn't, it'll be a bumpy road. Half of them need to if the pack wants to believe in a chance at the title.

Haven't Cobb and Hayward already "broke out"? How many times can a player break out?

I love the sarcasm in this quote from the article, LOL:

The Green Bay Packers–in my opinion–are the team to beat in the NFC. I realize the 49ers have the most talented roster in history and Trent Baalke/Jim Harbaugh are unstoppable as a duo in the front office, but I still think Aaron Rodgers and the Packers are the class of the NFC.

A lot of good points. Yeah, Cobb and Hayward pretty much have already "broke out", but I expect them to get better yet. Perry is the biggest "if" on the list, and at the same time, the most important piece of the puzzle to get it done. Is it "breaking out" if a rookie does it? hahaha If Lacy is on the list, then Datone Jones should be also - and I expect big seasons from both.

Call me overly optimistic, but I still think Sherrod is gonna "break out" - if not by game one, later in the season, if not later in the season, next year.

The biggest question and problem is: who is gonna stop the opposition from running it right up the gut and passing to the TE in the short middle area? I'm certainly not expecting any breakout there from Hawk or B. Jones. Bishop back healthy would be a plus especially against the run, but I really don't see a sure thing "break out" answer there. Manning? I doubt it. Francois? I like that guy, but he's really a long shot. I wish they would move that Mulumba guy to ILB. I could see him as a real "break out" candidate, but the position is kinda clogged at OLB.
