Maybe they try that later. Who knows? They sure do look like they are mixing it up. Man, a jail break with Raji, Datone, Neal, Perry, Hawk, Bishop and Matthews would be pretty fun to watch.

He just gets some reps at OLB.

I want him inside on pass rushing situations more than the outside to be honest with you.

Him and Jones will wreck havoc in Dom's Nickel defense.

I think giving Neal some OLB reps is to give the OLBers breathers, get the best talent on the field and Neal is good run support (for an OLB) and could be a pretty good pass rusher.

As for ILB... I think it's more likely they put Matthews at that ILB spot with Perry and Neal on the outside.


When they go into that 2-4 (as they call it) the look on the field is really more like a 4-2 so Neal and Perry will be 4-2 DEs and Matthews will be a blitzing LB and the other team won't know which gap he's going to blitz. And they may once in a while drop Perry or Neal back in that.
