As we inch closer to the start of OTAs, we will continue to take a closer look at the Green Bay Packers’ roster. Last week we began the series by breaking down the Packer quarterbacks. We will continue analyzing the offense by taking a look at arguably Green Bay’s deepest position on the roster — [...]

With all the talent at RB, there's probably only two spots here. Ross could find a place, especially if there's an injury somewhere, but he has to prove his muffed punt isn't gonna stick in his head. One of these guys has to be a returner.

I'm actually relatively concerned about our WR corps this year.

This is the most turnover we've had in a long time.

I have a man-crush on Cobb,

Jones is a good 2/3 but I really don't trust him as a full starter.

Jordy has really only has one good year. (1k yards is my mark)

Curious to see what the new guys bring!

Also, I miss Donald Driver!!

I would think all of the WR will look better this year because of improvements in the running game. Since it will almost certainly open up some passing lanes and between the better blitz pickups and added threat of play action, I see a lot more activity in the intermediate range passes. I think both rookies will be good but not sure they make much of an impact this year. Like a lot of other positions, though, there will be more NFL quality guys in camp than roster spots available which is a great sign for the offense!

Obviously the top three are set, but after that, I'm not a fan of Boykin at all. I like Ross a lot better, especially factoring in the kick return ability and relieving Cobb of that. Johnson and Dorsey are, of course, pie in the sky at this point, but if they are anything like advertized, I'm all for keeping either/both over Boykin.

I think we keep six - the top three, Johnson and Dorsey, and Ross.

I'm hoping that with the loss of Driver and Jennings this year the approach with remaining WRs will be "less is more." Less 4 and 5 WR stuff and less of a need to play 5 WRs and get them all a decent amount of snaps (granted last year the problem was getting more than 2 healthy WRs on the field at a time). In return, each guy should be able to get plenty of touches each game and produce at a high output.

If the Packers had an average quarterback, I might have some concern about this position. Because the Packers employ the best in the game - the Packers could trot out lessor receivers than they have now and still be a very productive offense. Let see which ones rise to the occasion and want to get paid.

i think johnson has the tools to be that #1 guy in a couple of years. i hope he wants it bad enough and works hard for it. i know he is really raw right now but with our coaching staff and the way aaron will work with anybody that asks for it he is a great place right now. i just hope we dont make him a star and he packs up like jennings did if he becomes an elite
