GREEN BAY, Wis. -- An unidentified member of NBC's television production crew was taken off the field on a stretcher and loaded into an ambulance at Lambeau Field early Monday morning after sustaining a leg injury, a Green Bay Packers spokesman said.
According to the spokesman, the man was upended by a cable attached to a television camera the network used in broadcasting Sunday night's Packers game against the Dallas Cowboys. Team doctor Pat McKenzie was part of the crew on hand to treat the man, who was injured after the Cowboys' 27-16 victory.
Surrounded by a crowd of about 20 people on the field, paramedics carefully placed the man on a stretcher. He was wheeled to an ambulance just off the edge of the field shortly after midnight CDT.
An NBC Sports official did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
