See Wade, I call BS on the Republican definition of redistribution of wealth. Taxing the wealthy to put an influx of money in the national budget as a solution to the debt is logical.

Redistribution of wealth is keeping the war machine alive so that middle class Americans are forced to use their tax dollars to line the pockets of the wealthy stockholders of defense arms companies.

Now stay with me, cause I have the solution to the whole debt thing - we tax the shit out of the people that have benefitted from the actual redistribution of wealth and cut the the military by 40% this year. We might just take our military capabilities back to a first strike capability instead of a total annihilation capability.

Now take an aspirin Wade, and go to bed and get back to me in the morning. The professor was just schooled by the master. I know, I'm an asshole. [rockon] [happy] [ass]

I don't care about presidents, they're all fucked in the head.

Please. Really. I'd love to agree with you on such a simple solution.

I really would.

P.s., I never claimed to be a master. If there is virtue in being a college professor, and I daily wonder if there is, it comes because and when we realize the profound limitations of our ability to solve and predict and explain. Alas, most of us professor types most of the time are too convinced of our educational superiority, too prideful, to realize that all that extra education means is we might know a fraction of a thousandth of a percent more than the rest of you. That while you may be ignorant of 99.99 % of the universe, we are merely ignorant of 99.9895%.

Big economic problems are a lot simpler to get into than they are to crawl out of. It takes very little effort to borrow a lot of money and spend it on your good ideas. That I *am* an expert on, unfortunately. But once you've borrowed all that money and you're trying to figure out how to dig yourself out, there are no easy answers. There are no simple answers. There's just saying, gee, Wade, you've been a fuckhead yet again. And you don't get to blame American Express and Visa and Paypal and ask them to forgive you like your Mom in her pre-dementia days used to.. Get to work and stop being such a personal fuckhead.

Stop looking for other people to push your own responsibilities off on. Instead, concentrate for a change on doing what your friends Troy and Foster and Wayne and Kevin and Formo and Porforis all do. Work and be responsible yourself. God'll eventually take care of the real bastards.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Fortunately, I'm lucky to have Ecclesiastes and John 3:16 and Romans 1:5 and Romans 12:2 to fall back on. In the end, I don't have to worry about whether Ben Bernanke or Bill O'Reilly is the bigger pinhead. I only have to recognize that the problem comes when I believe so much in my ability to have the answers, or when I believe it is important for someone to have such answers.

Speaking of Pinheads, Kingpinhead O'reilly just pissed off the Asian Americans by saying he couldn't understand why so many of them are liberals because they are such hard working indiginent people. I guess Republicans are the only Americans that can be considered "hard working". Uffda Bill, you can be a dumbass.

"Redistribution of wealth" won't do a damn thing. It will just give more money to the government to piss away.
If they can't be trusted to "live within their means" now, what makes you think that giving them trillions more will make them be better at money matters?
The debt will keep growing, and sooner or later we will end up like Greece if they don't learn how to NOT piss away what they take in already.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
