FWIW:
Jennings: Elite. A serious loss if not re-signed. A big part of the reason why the others look so good.
Nelson: Solid. Not Raymond Berry, but definitely Boyd Dowler with a bit of deceptive Carroll Dale quickness. If Ray Scott were still alive, we'd be preparing for years of "Rodgers. Nelson. Touchdown."
Driver: Inspirational leader. Will have some drops, but will also make amazing catches. Possession receiver. Not being used sufficient for his remaining strengths.
Jones: I don't know anymore. I don't think he's as undependable as people think, with the exception of the deep sideline over the outside shoulder pass. I think if you look at all his drops over the years, most of them come on that pattern. Physically he seems made for it, but there's something wrong with his eyes there or something. Not sure what. But it's clearly his Achilles heel. I'm comfortable with him on any other pattern, but I'd rather they never had to give him that one.
Cobb: Fun. A unique combination of talents. I don't see him as Jenning's replacement at all. I think making him into a standard #1 or #2 WR would be wasting his talents. I think if they handle him right, he could end up redefining the slot/motion position. Or defining a new one. The Cobb.
I'm starting to think Finley is over-rated (and not just by himself). But the WR corps is not.
I wouldnt trade the 5 for any other unit.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
