Okay, I said I wasn't going to post today, and I seem to be posting more than everyone else combined. You must all have lives.

Anyway, I'm proposing we start a new 7/4 tradition.

It's really simple. Sometime today, when you're together with others, perhaps before you start chowing down at that picnic or family dinner, or even if you're alone, do this one thing.

Find a copy of the Declaration of Independence.

Then read it. Out loud. All the way through. No commentary. No sermon. Just one time through Jefferson's words.

Do it.

It'll only take a few minutes.

Do it.

The steaks and potato salad can wait ten minutes.

Do it.

Seriously.

Do it.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

my favorite part....I propose a change, it is a simple change. I want to add these simple words...

I tried but the .ca internet would not allow me to load it on my computer. It said that was subversive material that belittled the Crown.
Actually it is a good idea Wade. Even though I was on vacation I didn't have time early in the day and I was too tired to read (with any amount of comprehension) when I returned. I will do so today.
