Even though the popular vote is going to be close as of now it looks as if Obama wins the Electoral Vote again.

I pulled this off a website called electionprojections.com  I do not know their political affiliation, if any. Hugh Hewitt has given them high marks and he is a Conservative who has worked for both Nixon and Regan.

As of now it appears to be 248 votes for Romney and 290 for Obama. Take away the “weak” leaning States from both sides and it is 191 for Romney and 232 for Obama.

In order to win Romney needs all of his weak States to continue to support him. That is Florida, North Carolina and Virginia. (All voted for Obama last time.) Most especially Florida. If Romney fails to win Florida, you remember how hard it was for Bush to win here when his brother was governor, I don‘t see him winning at all.

He would then need to pick 22 votes from the “weak” Blue States. I don’t see Minnesota or New Hampshire going Red. If Iowa did it would be a mild surprise. Pennsylvania and Ohio have to go Red for Romney to win.

Perhaps Romney will win over a couple of moderately Blue States: Colorado, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, Oregon, Washington, and Wisconsin. Nevada is possible. Colorado, Michigan and Wisconsin maybe. New Jersey, Oregon and Washington highly unlikely.

If you go to Election Projections website and click on the link to the various States you will see their tendencies in the past. And just how Conservative or not they are and where they rank as to being a Republican State or not.

I am coming from this from the perspective of where Romney needs to get his votes in order to win simply because it looks to be Obama’s to loose. He knows it and he will do his best to make sure that he keeps too many States from slipping out of his hand.

Well let's see, the Obstructionists have managed to piss off women and Romney trails that demographic by 30 percent; they have pissed off the Hispanics with their border policies and Romney trails that demographic by around 20 percent; Obama will automatically get the black vote; and the youth vote will be going to Obama cause let's face it, Romney just has no mojo. So that leaves the white male vote, and those of us that actually sweat and work for a living will not vote for a pussy like Romney. Oh yeah, the Obstructionists have also managed to make morbid enemies of unionized labor, one more obstacle for the million dollar man.

So what do the Obstructionists have going for them, oh yeah, Obama is a Socialist - what a bunch of crap. When we pay an effective income tax rate of 45% each, then were a Socialist country.

People who think the country is in shambles now, just wait until Romney takes over. Being US President is about as thankless as trying to restore a '77 Ford Pinto ... it's best to blow up the whole plan and start over.

REVOLUTION!!!

Personally, I think any strong GOP candidate would have beaten Obama by at least 5%, possibly more. Obama's not been completely terrible but there've been enough WTF moments to make the centrists wary.

2 months ago, looking at the GOP candidates on the board I anticipated that the GOP candidate would lose by 5-10% in the popular vote, and I stand by that estimation. The fact that the GOP can't produce a strong candidate in 4 years isn't very encouraging, and they deserve to lose in 2012.

Frankly, I wish I had the wealth and skills to go expat.

Anyone who thinks 2016 will find the USA better off is, IMO, deluded. We are a bunch of zombies headed off the cliff at full speed.

Sell everything denominated in dollars short.

If I believed in the system having a "long term," I'd start a real campaign for a "None of the Above" write in vote. I'm half tempted to do so anyway.

Does anyone truly believe we'd be worse with a Constitutional crisis over "what do we do?" than with either Pinhead Donkey or Pinhead Elephant occupying the White House?

Seriously.

Bring your long chair to the cliff. Sit down, have a beer, and laugh at the morons you live and work with.

I see another 4 years of the Dictator you know as Obama,if he makes the full 4 years he will have control over this whole country and we will lose majority of our rights.

We lost our freedom of speech around politicians now, and Obama will go after the guns trust me. It won't be the guns them selves but he will make the cost of the ammo so high us normal people won't be able to afford it. He will also find another war to start and cost the country another billion dollars. Oh and in case you forgot he already has control of the internet with his kill switch (a switch he can hit that will shut down all internet services in the US.

I for one will vote for the american even if means a write in vote.

I'm with Zero on this and as much as I hate to say it the South will rise again 🙂
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Dear Mr. Jefferson,

I told you that America would see the wisdom of our example eventually.
