• Barry Sanders
• Roger Staubach
• O.J. Simpson
• Paul Hornung
• Charles Woodson
• Tony Dorsett
• Tim Tebow
• Earl Campbell
• Marcus Allen
• Cam Newton
• I can't argue with 1, but having Cam Newton and Tim Tebow on there can't be right. I don't know 10 Heisman Winners, but I think Desmond Howard had a better career than either Tim Tebow or Cam Newton to this point.

My question is: Is this a list of the best of the Heisman winners in COLLEGE ball or in the NFL?

EDIT: I should clarify for Zero before his brain freezes.. Are we looking at their college career or NFL career? Reading the list, I'm implied upon that they are only looking at the college careers.. Because if they are looking at their NFL careers, there's no way Cam or Tebow makes that list.

It would make most sense that they take a list of every Heisman winner who played in the NFL, then took the top 10 NFL careers from them. To which, I don't understand how Newton and Tebow are mentioned.

If it's based on college career, I don't think Barry Sanders should be 1. I think others in college have had a better college career than he. Although he does/did have an impressive TD NCAA record.

I dunno man.. I agree if this is a NFL career list, I agree in that Tim and Cam need not apply.

Apparently this if the NFL Films response  that these were the factors thought in.

Who had the best NFL career?
Who had signature plays and great moments?
Who had box-office appeal? Who sells tickets? Who sells jerseys?
Who has cultural resonance? Who passes the Mom test?

Tim Tebow above Earl Campbell? Someone needs to be punched in the face.

I'm not pro or anti Tebow. My reasoning is simple - Earl Campbell is in the fucking Hall of Fame. Tim Tebow is not and will never be.

(Earl Campbell also sponsors some pretty good sausage, so the whole culture thing can't be brought up as Campbell is just as much a part of pop culture).

Now Woodson does belong up there as Woodson will be in the Hall of Fame (I don't even think this is arguable any more) and California wine snobs know about Woodson's wines.

Tebow might even be a one-year wonder. I foresee Cam Newton having a decent NFL career. If it weren't for Denver's tough D, Tebow wouldn't have even had the chance to lead comebacks.

I would be very surprised if Tebow was still in the NFL in 2015. Barring injury, Newton should still be starting for somebody.

More people will watch it and talk about it if it has Tebow and Newton on it instead of some old retired guys.
