Do you think instant replay is helping or hurting the NFL? Originally, I thought it was a good thing, but I must admit I am bias. November 5, 1989 against the Chicago Bears is the date I started making sure I watched Packers game as if it were religion. The dramatic ending and how exciting it was ... had me hooked on the Packers. Truth be told, yes, there were times I elected to watch Barry Sanders over the Packers ... won't lie.
There has been some recent rule changes and I'm starting to think the more instant replay is involved, the more it's hurting the game. I think replays should be limited to turnovers and touchdowns and plays within the last 2 minutes of the game that could change the outcome. Albeit the last is somewhat of a judgment call, unless (which I suggest) some ground rules are laid out.
Not related, but the NFL should also fix it's pass interference reward too. 15 yards for the penalty. Sure, some defenders will still do it to prevent a score, but it's not any different than offenses throwing it deep for the same reason. At least give both sides of the ball pros an cons to it.
