Was it named "McCarthy Park"?
You know, the song that goes on and on about "Someone left the cake out in the rain, and i don't think that i can take it, cause it took so long to bake it, and i'll never have that memory again...oh NOOOOOO!"
I think it was like 6 minutes long, and every time it came on the radio, i shut it off.
Its my all-time HATE IT song.
I think it should be everyone's number one HATE IT song.
Does ANYONE like it????
It stayed on the radio because at the time it was the LONGEST record.

Hardly the worst songs ever, I can even pick out a couple songs I like in there.

As to the age of the author of the list I do not know. Not the same person who compiled the other lists I posted.

No Emenine on the list? No gangsta rap?

So it's a symbol of innocence. The rain represents the leaders on both sides of the conflict and their endless insanity.

So yes, the song is tragic and rightfully so. Ms. Summers pours her heart into it as she should have. It's one of the best sets of lyrics I've ever seen.

Actually, I'm making this up. That song sucked and I get almost as sick as Cheesey does when I hear it.

Jeez, what's wrong with "The Heart of Rock and Roll"? I got to sing along with Huey and that song about 15 years ago when he did a benefit concert at his kids school out here. He still lives about 15 miles from us.

There are a few songs on that list from that era, but I would not say that they are all bad.

However, I totally agree with you on the Disco shit...If you were lucky, and young enough, you did not have to listen to that crap.

So, KanataThrilla, just for you.......... [grin1]

dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
