I don't know where this whole "we lost to them so now I hate them" mentality comes from. I think the Giants play beautiful football. They bring pressure with their D and they have a balanced (well, as balanced as it makes sense to be with the new rules) offense. I have no quarrels with them. The best team won the Super Bowl.

I was glad to see Eli Manning double up Super Bowl rings on big brother, in his HOME. (maybe old home in a few months)

So you can shove your whole not knowing where this mentality comes from because that's awfully ignorant to say. I mean, really, do you NOT have a competitive bone in your body? If you want one, bend over, I'll fix that for ya pumpkin! 🙂

I don't understand how anyone can hate the Giants for beating the Packers. The Packers absolutely deserved to lose both of those games. Maybe if the Giants had played dirty -- put Aaron Rodgers out of the game needlessly or something -- I could understand hating them, but they beat the Packers fair and square. They played the style of football I have been wishing for months that the Packers would play. If you want to hate anyone, hate the defense for failing to do what the equally pathetic Patriots defense was able to do: hold the Giants to 21 points. Hate the defense for failing to defend a Hail Mary like the Giants defense did. (After that play, I yelled, "Now THAT'S how you defend a Hail Mary!"). Hate the offense for laying a gigantic egg when it mattered the most and squandering one of the greatest offensive seasons in league history. Hate Jermichael Finley, who doesn't hold a candle to Gronkowski or Hernandez or even Ballard when it really counts. (Throughout the game, I kept thinking, "If only we had one of those guys . . .") There are all kinds of people you could hate, but to hate the Giants, who did all the right things at all the right time and played a wonderfully clean game (in contrast to the Patriots last night, who got by with blatant holds on both sides of the ball, not to mention at least one flagrant pass interference) just reeks of sour grapes and poor sportsmanship. Yes, "show me a gracious loser and I'll show you a loser," blah, blah, blah, but I blame our own team for those heartbreaking losses. The Giants came out with a burning fire and passion; they were ready to play. Our team just looked listless, apathetic, and complacent. Arrogantly so. They deserved to lose. Hopefully, they learned their lessons the hard way, because I would love to see them in the Super Bowl again, but this year, they did not earn that privilege.

Really hurted them.

I think it was team effort to beat themselves in '11, but in '07 I kind of have to lean that one towards Brett Favre. I don't know what he saw and it's easy for an armchair quarterback to say "dumb throw".

There are just teams some people dislike. Yes, the Packers were there own worst enemy, but the Giants stalled two "championship runs" that could have ended in Super Bowl wins. In essence, I think the fans who hate the Giants because of that, hate them because they feel the Giants stole two Super Bowl rings. When in fact, like you said, the Packers cost themselves the game.
