What I'm most curious about, however, is how this injury effects McCarthy's planning. Does he seriously contemplate going for 16-0? We need 1 more win to secure the #1 seed in the conference... but beyond that I wonder if McCarthy goes the Dungy route and rests his players the final two games. Based on the fact that DS is playing poorly at RG... I would be pretty happy to have Aaron sit out meaningful games alongside Sitton, Bishop, and Jennings.

I want this team to stay on a roll and crush everyone in their path. Essentially the Packers get another bye week this year, a luxury they didn't have last year. Let's just keep kicking ass!

P.S. You want them to sit out meaningful or meaningless games? 👅

Any time frame on how long a "tear" would take to recover from if it were not completely torn?

The good news is that we've got plenty of targets for Aaron to throw at still. Jordy, Driver, Finley, Jones, Cobb, Saine out of the backfield... Plus, Grant showed a spark I haven't seen since 2009 and if he can keep it going like he did today, that'll make things that much easier for Aaron and the WRs.

But at the last time I don't want to leave Rodgers in for cheap shots against the Lions in the last week... they might look to take him out of the playoffs before the playoffs...

Pickett had a head injury too, could be his second concussion this year.

PFT  says a tear "is suspected." Tear could mean sprain. Keep that in mind.
Complete tear would require surgery.

ACL or PCL take surgery. My brother, sister in law, Mom and a couple guys I played football with all tore ACLs. They all had surgery and took a year plus to recover from.

If you lace your fingers together and pull your hands apart, that is kind of what a ligament does when it is sprained or torn. If you pull a little, they stay laced together, if you pull all the way, they lose contact with each other.

A sprain is the same as a tear only to a lesser degree. If you pull them all the way apart, it is worse than if you pull them a little and the fibers of the ligaments are still laced together.

Really, sprain and tear are interchangeable. Just when people say torn, they usually mean pulled all the way apart or detached from the anchor point.

That is the way I understood it from being the patient and knowing people who were.

I didn't like reading this comment from Tramon.

(injuries) are the danger you face pretty much every week. You just hope the worst doesn’t happen when you don’t want it to. Obviously Greg’s injury, from talking to people, is bad. But we don’t know anything yet at this point. Hopefully he’s OK. The next guy’s going to have to step up. We have the firepower for guys to step up. Hopefully Greg’s back but if not, we’ll be ready still.
