The Lions and the Packers are the only two teams  to have played each other every year since 1932.

"I can smell 12-0. That's as far as I can see," defensive end B.J. Raji said. "These games aren't going to get any easier. I'm going to enjoy this the next couple days, then we'll get on to New York."

"We take the football away and we take care of it," McCarthy said. "Everybody preaches it, everybody practices it, but we do as good or better than anybody in the league and that was evident today."

But first up, as tradition dictates, are the Detroit Lions. For once, that too is an appetising prospect. The long-running gag about Detroit's annual Thanksgiving involvement is that somebody has to play the turkey. Year-after-year the Lions would invite everybody to Ford Field only find out that it was they who would be taking a stuffing.

There is no guarantee that they will avoid such a fate this afternoon, but only because the opposition are the 10-0 Green Bay Packers. With Aaron Rodgers playing about as well as any quarterback in league history, it's a safe bet that at the very least one or two defensive backs will be getting roasted.

The Detroit Free Press  graded the performance of the Lions against the Packers pretty harshly.

Well we had our own thanksgiving on sat - with watching the GB game and eating the whole gambit of yummies (the wife made) ...
even had a couple of packers fans to watch the game with here in london (a fellow cheese head and her husband a canadian).

was a cool game with lots of INTs (got to like that) ... and ya that suh is really out of control and they really need to fine him alot more or give him out a suspension.

I finally understand what Nonstopdrivel means about INTs. We're not supposed to rely on INTs. We're supposed to rely on defensive stops.

I get that.

However, here is a point I disagree. If you got a decent shot at an INT and you miss it and it goes for a big first down or more, do you take it? I say yes. INTs are not only drive killers but also morale boosters. I'd love to see the stats on this, but I'm willing to bet that there is a significantly higher percentage of scores per drive after an INT than after a punt.

Why? Better field position obviously. But the other reason is intangible - morale. I am a STRONG believer in morale. INTs get you pumped up. When you are an offensive player and you see the defense get off the field after an interception, you feel like you have a duty to make something of it. Watch the offense come onto a field after an interception vs after a punt. It's a different attitude.

Looks like sources from the NFL are saying at least a two game suspension for Suh and anger management courses.

Suh said this in an interview:
"Stomp E.D. Smith? I didn't stomp him! I thought i saw a bee on him, and was trying to step on it so it wouldn't sting him! And they also said i pushed his head into the turf.....that's not true either! I saw a little ant dragging a dead bug 5 times his size, and was amazed by the strength of that little creature! I told Smith about it, and he couldn't see it. So i was just trying to make sur he saw it! I was like...."SEE!? SEE!?!? SEE!?!?!?"

Hehe. I actually thought that was real for a second. Not any further-fetched than his post-game explanation.

I agree with Twinkiegorilla.
