That San Diego game was unbelievable.

Aaron had a QB rating above 140. 140!!!
You think Favre ever had a rating like that?
Favre may have "carried" some Packers teams during his time, but Aaron totally carried that game. They won because of his dominance.

NO interceptions! You think Favre could've done that?

We TRULY are seeing something special.

The defense will get there. But the offensive side of the ball is the best I've seen in ages. Cherish this, because it won't be like this forever.

We don't much care about Brett Favre, we have Aaron Rodgers now. We'll do revisionist history in 10 years after Aaron Rodgers has retired.

Kindly note the initial post was in June of this year... just sayin'... and a fun thread to read, if you want to really know how truly delusional your purple friends to the west are.

Rodgers throws a better ball, and is more careful with it. Which is just fine by me, that is what is needed in the league today. Favre took chances and attempted things nobody else would and more often would work than wouldn't, which was fine by me because that is what was needed in the 90's.

They both are exactly what the team needed, at each of their times.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

They did a comparison during the game yesterday.

Brett was the gunslinger. Threw the ball up for grabs some times. Threw left handed. Did the little underhanded shuttle pass when no one else was thinking about it. He was a 3 time MVP. I will never forget the bomb to Sharpe on the final play of the game to beat Detroit. That was a great play by a great player (both of them.)

Aaron seems to be more consistent in where he throws the ball. They are certainly different people with different styles and different personnel. They also played under different rules as set out by the NFL's office.

I believe I saw every throw and situation Brett Favre was "in" as a Packer. I'm pretty sure I saw the same of Bart Starr, but there is the possibility of some revisionism, there- but not much.

I also watched Brett as a Jet and a Vike.

Of course I've seen everything Aaron has thrown.

It isn't even close. It's not.

If it was, I'd say so.

IT ISN'T.

I think this kid Aaron Rodgers is the best QB to ever play this game, and I also think THAT isn't even close.

Yeah, Aaron is better. So what? Aaron is better than many QBs, so was Favre. Do you wish we never had Favre?
Why is Jerry Kramer not in the Hall of Fame?

Martha Careful (25-Jun) : I would have otherwise admirably served
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy is on my ballot subject to me penciling him in as a no.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : I thought it used to be we voted for the whatever they called the 45, and then they voted for the seven, and then they voted for Mark Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
