That may appear to be true, only because we hear about what happens to the good players, more than say the average Joe.

Sorry if I sound wrong saying this, but after reading what this surgery actually is...Collins would be stupid to come back and play football. That is some serious stuff right there and I would hope that if there is any chance of re-injuring the neck/disability, Nick would not take the chance. Thinking back to what caused this injury just makes me think about if he were to come back and go head on with a player, what would happen to his neck. If I remember correctly, Williams hamstring/ass came down on Collins helmet and it almost looked like nothing at first.

This is/will be a big blow to the Packers defense. Collins was such a quiet and great player.

I hate to lose Nick, but for his own good he shouldn't come back IMO. Too great a risk unless he can be absolutely 100% healthy and I don't see how that can happen. Being in a wheelchair is not worth any milllions of dollars.

But with that thought Tim Lewis, Sterling Sharpe, Terrance Murphy they were high on, and now Collins. These are elite players(except we don't know on Murphy) that we have lost. There were many more below average, average, and above average players that played much longer and never had anything like this happen. Just bad luck I guess. Maybe we get some good karma to even things out.
