You guys can sugar coat the Bears defense all you want to. 27 points and we took our foot off their neck with our play calling decisions. What pisses me off is the pass by the media for Urlacher and Briggs coming out and declaring they were the best team in the NFC. That's bullshit.

We do not get the respect we deserve, whether we want it or not.

I think the Packers get plenty of respect. They just don't get as much press as they would if they were in a larger market or if they had more of a soap opera atmosphere, as some other teams do. I don't have any complaints at this point.

Ted Thompson is viewed as one of the best GMs. Our backup QB has often been viewed and likely still will be as a potential future starter. We overcame massive injuries last season and still won the super bowl, a story that is discussed over and over. The only member of the Green Bay Packers don't doesn't get enough media love in Mike McCarthy, and even that's quickly changing.

No press confernces about beating down the Bears. No expert analysis of why we will continue to crush them.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

Thompson builds the team with smart solid and not very exciting moves. Drafting talent and taking overlooked talent wherever he can find it.

The players all say the sanitized and correct thing.

Even the Coach is a mumbly, boring, dull guy at the podium with nothing but stock phrases.

The most animated MM got was when someone asked him about going into New England as an underdog. He kind of bristled and showed his teeth a little when he said "We're nobody's underdog" and it was over. No rants, no tirade. Just a simple statement of fact.

I want to go out like my Grandpa did. Peacefully in his sleep.

I think you are mixing together two different things: respect and attention. The Packers get tons of respect. They get a little shortchanged on attention because they play in a small market, and they don't have a lot of drama. That's just the way things are, and I'm fine with it. The last time they got more than their share of attention was in the summer of 2008 when Favre tried to come back to the team. I didn't enjoy that at all.

I really don't get the "not enough attention" argument. I mostly watch NFL Network, and they get plenty of positive attention. No, we don't get the negative attention that many teams like Dallas and the Jets do, and that's great. It is what it is, negative publicity. I've thought several times while hearing people praise the packers how sick other teams must get of hearing about us.

It's all good to me.

Actually, I wish we'd get a lot less respect. I didn't even hit Vegas this year because our odds sucked. It wouldn't even be worth the trip.

wpr (26-Jun) : 1st world owners/stockholders problems dfosterf.
Martha Careful (25-Jun) : I would have otherwise admirably served
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy is on my ballot subject to me penciling him in as a no.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : I thought it used to be we voted for the whatever they called the 45, and then they voted for the seven, and then they voted for Mark Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
Zero2Cool (24-Jun) : Yawn. Rodgers says he is "pretty sure" this be final season.

Mucky Tundra (20-Jun) : GB-Minnesota 2004 Wild Card game popped up on my YouTube page....UGH
