From an airborne friend:

What time is it? If you're Air Force it's 8 o'clock, if you're Army, it's 0800hrs, if you're Navy, it's 8 Bells, if you're in the Marine Corps, Mickey's big hand is up and his little hand is pointing over at the roundy roundy thingy (the one between 7 and 9) must be time to go kill something.

I'm not convinced killing people around the world has so much to do with defending freedom and democracy anymore. I have this really bad feeling it has a lot more to do with making money. But to those who have served and defended the country - all of you deserve our gratitude, a health care plan, and pension.

And WPR, my favorite is 5 o'clock Miller Time.

My nerves have been pretty raw the past week and will probably continue to be so until at least this Friday. I did a little research on his cancer and found that it was stage III (passed through colon walls and into other organs).

Odds are still on his side, colon cancer is usually slow so treatment has time to work.

We will add him to our prayers.
I want to go out like my Grandpa did. Peacefully in his sleep.
Not screaming in terror like his passengers.

What I learned from that is that every man after the age of 30 needs to be proactive and insist on a complete physcial every couple years, with complete bloodwork testing for cancer. The best results for battling cancer come from early detection. My little girl would be in for years and years of chemo had her tumor not been found before reaching her spinal column. They would have never been able to cure her completely. PM me your address Formo cause I'd like to send him a picture of Mia for him to take a little inspiration from her.
