Ah well, my point was not about Neal, it was about how the Mike McCarthy staff seems to underreport injuries. Another example is that ankle injury suffered by Atari Bigby. It was never reported that season, iirc but he bitched about it the subsequent season. He was never the same imo. But hey, you go! xoxo

So it was reported... and the reason it wasn't reported more was because the season was because the season was over (which is a bigger story for the writers than a guy having the whole off-season to recover)

Also it's been rumored that it did heal and then Bigby re-injured it while training. Of course I think that rumor was started by his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, and some don't believe Drew's word should be trusted.

Some stats for Nick Collins so far. Drafted in '05 by the Packers. Started 16 games for 5 of 6 seasons. Made the Pro Bowl 3 straight times, '08,'09,'10.

In '08, led the NFL in INT yards and INT TDs with 295 yards and 3 TDs.

Had 21 INTs and 1 sack in his first 6 seasons and forced 5 fumbles and recovered 4 fumbles so far in his career.

Has 4 TDs from INT returns and 1 TD from a fumble recovery.

Pretty impressive start to his career. Combine that with a SB ring and a Pick 6 in the SB and you have the beginning of a possible HoF career. Let's hope he returns this season 100%.

According to this source , Nick Collins has normal feeling and complete movement in his extremities and will be staying overnight in the hospital as that's protocol. Apparently players knew right away he had movement in his extremities but it was precautionary.

I noticed Nick trying to move his head and one of the coaches/assistants firmly held his head in place so he couldn't move.

All indications are Nick will be okay. That means more to me than the win.

I thought it was more than a stinger, plus a pre-existing condition discovered. The alternatives for Collins are pretty bad.

McCarthy apparently said that he's still being evaluated, but initial indications are positive.
