And let's hope they all have a great farewell tour.

Why do you keep beating this horse, Dave? Last year, the Packers were one of the youngest teams in the league in aggregate, but they had the 9th-oldest starting roster in the league. Just because Thompson likes to pack the back end of the roster with young guys doesn't change the fact that there are plenty of veterans on the starting rotation.

And the reason the bottom of the roster is filled with young players is because they are cheap and allow us to pay our core players good money. This system seems to be working very well, yet we still have those (you know who you are) that insist that we bring in big money free agents and sign Packers who have played well but have seen their best days.

I knew the minute Pickett signed his last contract that Cullen Jenkins was a goner. The opportunity cost of keeping Pickett was Jenkins, and I'll live with it because Pickett is a hell of run stuffer. Yet everyone is pissed that we don't have Jenkins anymore. He tested the free agent market and had to sign for a lot less than anybody thought he would. Green Bay burnt the bridge with Jenkins by not going to the table before free agency. We would have given Cullen more than he got in Philly but he was mad so see in the playoffs Cullen; and we move on and on and on it goes. The lesson in this is do not attach yourself to players, love your team.

The very reason I find it difficult to buy jerseys with a players name on it.
