My Grandma even in her 90s can still beat Brady in a foot race.

Exactly my point. 2007 was arguably the best year ever played by a QB (Tom Brady). The one time it counted, he couldn't get it done. Favre put up better numbers in the previous game against the same opponent.

Numbers wise, Brady has Rodgers slightly beat. However, Rodgers has an inferior OL to Brady's (not saying our OL sucks, but compared to Brady's OL, it's not as good and it did suck in '08 and '09 but became adequate in '10).

The 2 big places Rodgers beats Brady is Rodgers turns into Joe Montana Jr. in the Playoffs. 2nd is Rodgers is the most mobile QB besides Michael Vick. My Grandma even in her 90s can still beat Brady in a foot race.

Brady in recent years has really tapered off in the Playoffs. He used to be Mr. Playoffs. Now he's not. Aaron is. It's just a shame our D let us down in '09.

Now, in '07 when Brady had Moss + Welker it was absurd (and all he did was go out and throw 50 TDs). Looking at the '10 roster, though, I'd definitely take what the Packers have. No question. So Brady with a better o-line but less in the skill position department still throws for a ridiculous 36 TD and 4 INTs. Pause for a moment to consider how nuts 36/4 is before moving on.

Furthermore, Rodgers has the benefit of having top flight turnover happy defenses that give him short fields and extra opportunities. The Pats were arguably the best team in football during the regular season last year -- they flat out bullied a lot of teams. And they did that without a great defense. They did it in large degree because Brady played like the dominant MVP that he was.

Now, in the playoffs Brady has to play a division rival with a monstrous defense (the same one that held Rodgers and Co. to 9 points during the regular season). I don't think you're being fair to Brady with this playoff business. To say that in '07 he lost the only one that counted: you mean, the AFC Championship game isn't important? Or the Divisional round? Brady is still one of the great playoff QBs of all time. I'm not comparing him to Rodgers -- who really appears to be of the Joe Cool mantra. I'm just saying he's won 3 SBs (though a while ago, I know) and he continues to play at the highest level and consistently win. Imagine the Pats with Green Bay's defense? Scary.

Rodgers is muh favorite, once again. I don't want anyone getting the sense that I like Tom Brady.

If both QBs retire today, Brady will be remembered as a better QB than Aaron. I really hate to say that but it's true. There's not really a contest.

What we'll need is for Aaron to continue on his current pace. He doesn't even have to improve. Just continue at his current pace. If so, there will be no debate between Aaron and Brady.

And yes, Welker had lost a step in '10 and Moss was gone so Rodgers has the advantage in skill positions whereas Brady had the better OL.

So yes, in 2010, Brady had the better regular season. But he had a very average Playoff game where he went one and out at home whereas Aaron lit it up in the Playoffs.

In 2009, Brady completely tanked in his first Playoff game and went one and out whereas Rodgers once again lit it up (but our D failed us).

So pure passing, Brady > Aaron in regular season. Aaron > Brady in maneuverability. Aaron > Brady in Playoffs.

It's actually a pretty good argument. If I'm not mistaken, Aaron though is #1 in passer rating all-time so one can argue Aaron throughout his career is a more accurate passer. Brady didn't put up monster numbers until 2007 (except he's put up monster numbers every year since except the one he missed).
