Roger Goodell Person Conduct Policy

I must agree with the players in being angry that one person can suspend them at will. True, they have to do something to cause getting suspended or fined, but the appeal goes to ... Roger Goodell.

It just seems really wrong that there's not a panel of 5 or 7 or 9 that decide the fate instead of just one man.

Makes more sense to have a small group of people (1-3) determine if an act is worthy of review, then having the issue reviewed by 5-10 people to determine which if any rules were broken and what the appropriate punishment would be. I didn't disagree with a whole lot of the punishments laid out by Goodell, but I did get quite sick of people constantly blaming him for their own actions (or the consequences thereof).

i think the comissioner is doing a pretty good job , i have no problem with his decisionmaking for punishment !!

I heard a few weeks ago during the negotiations that the players were going to be able to appeal to a group of judges who would review the the decision made by the commissioner. Apparently, Roger Goodell fought hard to retain all of his power in regards to the personal conduct policy. This disappoints me because I thought he could even see that it is unfair that the players don't stand half a chance on their appeals. I guess he doesn't care about fairness to the players.
