Okay, I'm lost, I need some answers.
Yesterday morning was when teams could officially waive players, right?
When is the deadline for a player to be released to save money on the cap?
Why haven't we read about Nick Barnett officially being released?

So in terms of Barnett, without knowing the Packers position on this and how it relates to the cap numbers, one of three things may be happening.
1) There is some interest in Barnett on the trade front and the Packers are trying to recoup something in return for him.
2) The Packers were indeed surprised by Chillar's severity of injury and the Packers are considering retaining him, maybe on a redone contract. Or possibly, utilizing the release of Chillar to increase the compensation they may be getting in return on trade.
3) They are leveraging some language in the CBA terms this year or in Barnett's contract to manipulate cap numbers.
Or it could be that I had a dream that I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express and just pulling this shit out of my ass. [grin1]
