Then again, we don't know if what he said was tongue in cheek and the reporter didn't pick up on it (or chose to let the readers infer that for themselves). Some people have a pretty deadpan sense of humor.

The Packers usually only have two DL on the field at the most right? I don't think they use many 3 or 4 DL packages too often. I say this because maybe he can use that extra weight in a limited capacity better?

They do run 3-4 packages. He also might be quicker if lost the weight. They told Jenkins to lose weight last offseason and Jenkins turned more of his pressure into sacks this last year.

Green's training regimen = getting cut 10 times. All that is going to prepare him for is getting injured in training camp.
