See, I think what was missed in that bail out sham with the banks and auto makers was that a lot of executive folks should have received some guillotine justice. The government should not expect the common man to accept slapping those assholes on the wrist, and then allow them to continue to loot and pillage. It is unacceptable.

I was a hell of a lot more tolerate of the bailout of the Auto industry than I was of the banking industry. The banks brought the pain on themselves by the high risk loans and junk paper they were peddling..

At least the Auto industry failed in part to a struggling economy.. still didn't make it right to bail them out either.

Yes ZS, it is truly unsettling when one finds oneself agreeing with DakotaT.
But from time time, he does come up with something valid and correct.....you know, like the old blind squirrel finding the nut adage.

And I agree wholeheartedly as well.

Me thinks that we are getting closer and closer to revolution time.

It is almost to the point that it is pathetic.. in our quest to mush for recall after recall election, it seems that we are willing to put anyone up to run.

Seriously.. you want our vote, yet you can't name a single piece of legislation.

PS.. I can less if she is Republican or Democrat.. I find it scary that you are running for office and you can't even spend the time to survey the landscape of current business.

Simac can't name a bill she supports or opposes

It's usually tough work to stump a professional politician, especially one in the middle of a heated race.

It's even tougher to get politicians to admit they're stumped.

But Republican Senate candidate Kim Simac acknowledged during a public forum this week that she couldn't name a single bill in Madison that she looks forward to backing or opposing if she wins.

Simac is running against Democratic Sen. Jim Holperin in one of the two last recall elections next week.

"What specific legislation is moving through the Capitol right now that you look forward to - if elected - supporting or challenging?" asked the moderator during a forum on WRJO-FM (94.5) in Eagle River.

After asking for the question to be read a second time, Simac then responded:

"Hmm, well, I think that . . . I guess I would have to say that with all of the things that I've been looking at, I think you just stumped me. All the things I've been looking at for all the last couple months here trying to get up on board as a new candidate, I've been trying to stay up with the issues, but I would have to say that I can't name you a single one right now."

She went on to say she has instead been spending her time talking with residents in her northern district trying to find out what they feel is important.
