Honestly I strongly disliked watching Newhouse in training camp last year. The kid has some big problems to over come if he wants to make it in the NFL.
First off if you want power in your punches then keep your elbows in... Newhouse didn't come close to doing that and he couldn't stop any of the guys from getting into his pads during OL drills where they take turns rushing each other. He couldn't lock anyone out because he's very poor elbow technique. And yes some times technique can be changed, but not always, sometimes guys have something stuck in their muscle memory and can't ever stop doing it (like Barbre being too high in his stance).
Newhouse footwork was also pretty poor at OG. At OT he did alight with the footwork but he had big troubles being quick enough for the speed rushes. Based on last year training camp he's a back-up RT only in my mind. Though he could get better, we'll have to wait and see but his problem areas aren't easy to fix.

Another guy to keep your eye on at OT is Chris Campbell, he's 6 foot 5, 328 pounds. But don't get caught up in size because he doesn't play like it. For a almost 330 pounder he can seriously move, problem is he gets too high in his stance and lacks power and the willingness to be physical.
What he needed to do was lose some weight and work on power technique and getting and staying low. If I remember right he got signed to the practice squad for a while... then cut from there and later resign to it. But all of the practice squad players normally get 2 year offers... Campbell got 3 year deal. Not huge but it's the little things, and maybe being cut gave him the wake up call he needed?
The kid has high potential as he can play like a good LT even with all that weight... just needs to get and stay lower and get more powerful. But if he's mental ready to be physical I think he could make the team.
