Barnett dug himself this little hole a couple years ago by refusing to move from the MLB spot.. which now in a 3-4 he is a fit in the middle.. not stout enough to play it IMO.



He would make a better edge backer if he had developed any type of pass rush skills, which were stunted playing in the middle of a 4-3.



So like Zombie stated.. he is a good player but a bad fit because of his style of play and the lack of depth in his game.



With his salary upcoming I think it has become a logical question to ask is will this be the end for Nick in GB?



I happen to think so.. but we have seen Ted and company hold onto players with salaries that don't seem to match their play.. Poppinga and Chillar come to mind.

Why don't we just start talking about what we can possibly get for him when the CBA is done. They'll keep Chiller and the tackling machine they drafted (Williams?).

I don't know why some people think Barnett and Bishop will compete for the starting job in training camp. They've both played the same position, and Bishop played it better and is younger. It would be a very expensive competition to pit them against each other in training camp. It's not like Ted can just cut the guy who loses without paying him anything. Bishop is the starter.

Barnett's tweet is dumb but no big deal. Imagine how bored he must be. He needs to hit someone, preferably on a football field and not in a bar.
