I fear that, for me, it will be.

Among _my_ favorites, I think there's a high probability of these all being gone on opening day (assuming there is one):

1. Mark Tauscher. One of my all time favorite Packers, but I would be more surprised if he isn't gone.
2. Cullen Jenkins.
3. James Jones.
4. Donald Driver.
5. Marshall Newhouse. (for some reason he always makes me think of Earl Dotson, one of my all time favorites)
6. Erik Walden.

Which of your favorites do you expect to not see on the opening day roster?

Tauscher is gone for sure. Jenkins 70% chance of being gone. Jones 50% chance. Driver 10% chance. He drops to #3 WR. No guess for either Newhouse or Walden.

Players that I assume will not be back.

Barnett, Nick
Bell, Josh
Briggs, Diyral
Crabtree, Tom
Dietrich-Smith, Evan
Francois, Robert
Havner, Spencer
Jackson, Brandon
Jenkins, Cullen
Jones, Brad
Jones, James
Nance, Dimitri
Smith, Anthony
Swain, Brett
Tauscher, Mark
Underwood, Brandon
Wilhelm, Matt

Of the group I like Taush. Gritty and tough. Despite the aggravation I like James Jones. He may drop a few passes but he has made some spectacular ones too. Add to the mix that he was homeless for a while when he was a boy. It is amazing that he is able to play in the NFL.
Barrnett, Jackson and Jenkins have all added to the Packers legacy and I am glad they spent their early years in GB.

I love Nick Barnett, but he's made for a 4-3, not a 3-4. I hope that he has future success elsewhere (except against us of course).

A lot depends on the rules of the 2011 free agency. If the NFL uses last off-seasons rules, I don't think it is going to be as drastic as many think. If it is open season again, it's going to be hectic.

Obviously, Nick Barnett, Cullen Jenkins, and Mark Tauscher are all but gone. Honestly, the three of them were hurt throughout last season. Jenkins is the only one who didn't finish the year on IR. I am not sure their departures are going to have as much as a negative impact as originally thought. Maybe Jenkins, but even then, Mike Neal is a very similar player

Nonetheless, those are the three that I think we can definitely say won't be back regardless of free agency. Beyond that, it is very much up in the air.

When you look at the names on WPR's list consider the names that will remain on the roster in front of these guys are better players in all but maybe two spots. Jenkins and J. Jones and the players stepping in those spots can certainly play.

This is going to be one of the strongest 53's I have seen in a long time. You figure all the PT guys like Shields, Zombo/Weldon, Bishop, Bulaga, etc., got plus all the guys back from IR an it's easy to see this team is stacked.

What "worries" we have are minor compared to most all the other teams when you look at what they all have to be concerned with.

GMs of 31 teams will have their phones ready to use, once the Packers cut the roster down to 53. SB champion with 53, 17 guys on IR, a draft, that looks very good at this time and added another 10 players to the roster ...... That's amazing depth and Ted Thompson has to cut more than enough players, that would be locks on other teams.

I bet my last underwear, that the Packers are the team, that loses the most players getting a roster spot elsewhere.

See, Gilbert is smarter than some of the other people here. He'll bet his last underwear instead of one of his nuts.

So confused how marshall newhouse ended up on your list, haha.
Erik Walden would be a good story if he holds on to a roster spot.
I'd be shocked if driver is gone. the rest i expect.

pretty solid list tbh. i'd like to see nick barnett stay. I have no problem holding onto him. After last season I have a hard time cutting solid depth.
