The regular season is upon us. This is when teams get to show their stuff. Show that all the moves they made and didnt make were in the best interest of their team. This is when the pre season is remembered as what it truly was. Diddly squizot.
Everyone knows the pre season is meaningless, however when you have nothing more to discuss it carries a paramount of importance. Deep down. No matter what anyone says during pre season they know when it looks bad its not as bad as they think and when it looks good its not as good as they think.
The pre season can be best summed up similarly like a gun with four bullets that have only the required gun powder. There is not one team that goes 100% scheme wise for a game that is meant to evaluate each players progress in their vanilla based offense or defense.
The first game or two of the season teams fans over react with monumental proportions. For instance, if the Packers lose you will hear Brett lost it he should have retired, Ahman is over the hill, Tightwad Ted should have snagged us some veteran OL ... etc things of that nature. If (when) the Packers win its going to be Ted made all the right moves, Brett has two more years in him, Ahman hasnt missed a beat, Jennings will topple every Packers WR record, this proves Sherman was holding us back etc
This is not the fault of the fans for they are in great anticipation of the season. Theyve watched every pre season game with great detail. Theyve read every article about their beloved team. Theyve read everything ESPN and other major news outlets have sluggishly written or said about them. They want to prove the nay sayers wrong and those who are positive to prove them right! This is what being a fan is all about.
Lets hope our team members drive safe and sober (and fully clothed), dont try to shoot anyone or board any love boats of any kind and lay the smack down on every opponent who dares to share the field with our team! GO PACK GO! Read More....
