Sherrod has been called finesse and not physical type so I'm not sure if he would fit LG very well. Sherrod isn't very powerful nor explosive (which with training might be able to improve on)... but technique wise he looks amazing at times. And I think zone blocking fits him very well.

Yeah, oddly enough the ONLY position I feel totally comfortable with him at would be LT. It matches his skill set.

I'm beginning to think Lang is just going to be our utility man. We had a guy like that a few years ago that ended up going to the Giants but his name escapes me.

I also think Bulaga stays at RT and although I have nothing to support this, I feel he'll improve from his 2010 campaign which I think he was unimpressive in.

Normally, I'd share your optimism just because he'd get the offseason in the strength & conditioning program, but with the lockout this year and the loss of offseason activities it may slow down the progression of players like Bulaga and Sherrod.

I wonder if we are thinking about resigning Colledge, why not think about resigning Spitz instead. He was the more steady player during his years opposite Colledge at G, and frankly Spitz would be cheaper than Colledge. With Sitton coming up for a new contract... I'd rather spend money on Sitton.

Of course, this is assuming Spitz recovers from his back injury sufficiently enough to return to his playing level of 2-3 years ago.

Yeah Spitz just hasn't been the same player since the back injury and I've seen too many guys not be able to recover 100% from back injuries to be sure he will...

Colledge got hurt early in the Lions game, Spitz came in and played pretty bad and got benched. Lang came in at LG and played better...

For some reason I really like the idea of Marcus Cannon (TCU) at LG.

Am I crazy?

"Wade" wrote:

He has cancer, but it sounds like he expects to make a full recovery. That is the only reason why hes still on the board.

My initial guess is that Sherrod will get looks at LG this training camp. Well, if there is a training camp. I think his future is at LT, but the Packers may want to get their best five on the field.

Also, there is still more draft left. Josh Sitton won a starting job as a rookie and he was a fourth rounder. Maybe DeMarcus Love is on tap for tomorrow. Clint Boling is still there as well. This is far from settled.

I knew there was a reason he tumbled so far. I just didn't bother to go look it up.

BPA or not I can't see Uncle Ted going offense with the first 4 picks. Especially when there are questions with the DL.

If we don't resign Colledge reasonably I hope he gets a blockbuster deal so we get a 3rd rounder!!!

wpr (26-Jun) : 1st world owners/stockholders problems dfosterf.
Martha Careful (25-Jun) : I would have otherwise admirably served
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy is on my ballot subject to me penciling him in as a no.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : I thought it used to be we voted for the whatever they called the 45, and then they voted for the seven, and then they voted for Mark Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
Zero2Cool (24-Jun) : Yawn. Rodgers says he is "pretty sure" this be final season.
Zero2Cool (23-Jun) : PFT claims Packers are having extension talks with Zach Tom, Quay Walker.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jun) : GB-Minnesota 2004 Wild Card game popped up on my YouTube page....UGH
