LT - Clifton -> Sherrod
LG -
C - Wells
RG - Sitton
RT - Bulaga

I think Clifton stays one more year before Sherrod takes over. I also think Bulaga stays at RT and although I have nothing to support this, I feel he'll improve from his 2010 campaign which I think he was unimpressive in.

I could see the lineup listed being the starters and I'm not sure who the starting LG will be. I don't think it'll be Colledge.

Colledge/McDonald? I think it will be Colledge.

They pay Colledge and bring him back. It won't be a record breaking deal by any means. But there won't be a lot of options to him. Play for a SB team at a discount or toil in obscurity for a few bucks more.

I remember reading something about Nick McDonald being groomed to that empty LG spot... to be honest I'd rather have some reliable veteran in there, if not our 2nd round draft pick.

If they bring Colledge back I think it will be him.

If they don't then a couple guys will battle for it... I think the early lead would go to Lang.

Colledge may be brought back, but I'm not sure we'll pay him what he could get elsewhere. Maybe. Lang/McDonald/Sherrod will likely compete for it. Some of the scouting reports on Sherrod suggest he could play LG. I'd rather give him some playing time, than have him ride the pine all year, especially if he's better than the other guys.

Ultimately, I think Mike will put the 5 best linemen out there, even if it means putting Bulaga at LG and Sherrod at RT, or vice versa.

Boy, what a problem to have. Actually I think MacDonald is there to push Wells out of a job, now whether that happens is another story.

I like the idea of Sherrod cutting his teeth at LG, but there still may be another draft pick coming. OL is deep this year. Sherrod can't possibly be as light in the pants as Colledge, and if he is intelligent, he won't have all the brain farts that plagued Darryn. I do not expect Colledge back.

I'm beginning to think Lang is just going to be our utility man. We had a guy like that a few years ago that ended up going to the Giants but his name escapes me.

For some reason I really like the idea of Marcus Cannon (TCU) at LG.

Am I crazy?

Yes, but for other reasons. :cyclopsani:

All I know is we'll start OL with Cliffy and Bulaga as our OTs, and Wells and Sitton in the middle. Don't know who the 3rd guy in the middle will be.

Sherrod has been called finesse and not physical type so I'm not sure if he would fit LG very well. Sherrod isn't very powerful nor explosive (which with training might be able to improve on)... but technique wise he looks amazing at times. And I think zone blocking fits him very well.
