Like I tweeted earlier, at least one PFT commenter treats this with the respect it deserves. "Just because he has a puffy face with multiple chins does not mean he is soft."

Of course Hanie is gonna say that. He wouldn't go up there and talk bad about his teammate....

When put in the position to speak badly, he refused to comment.

Your stance is that of a cynic or one who simply would rather bash Jay than understand he might do something positive.

Hanie had no reason to lie. He could have easily said "i have coaches for that." or something to that effect.

I don't care for Jay Cutler, but I sure as heck won't dis the guy based on assumptions, that's just naive-in my opinion.

I don't. There's only one starting QB on a roster and every QB wants to be THE guy. I wouldn't lie to make the starter look better and I'm a really nice guy too. I also wouldn't go out of my way to throw him under the bus either.

You're making assumptions again, doesn't that feel a bit foolish? You're making one assumption based off another.

I'm sure they get along, Caleb has been with the team for almost a year now.

Am I the only who would compare Cutler to Jeff George? Golden arm, ten cent head with ginormous chip on the shoulder always emulating the big man on campus syndrome.

I think Cutler has a lot of talent, he just didn't get that necessary hazing treatment as a kid - it would have served and he wouldn't be such a pussy.

I would not go public in any capacity and say anything negative about any of my co-workers, even though they are "competing" with me in some capacity. It's not so much about lying to make them look good as much as it is being politically correct and not allowing my comments to be twisted as me saying something negative about them.

However, I'm sure others would do differently. I'm just speaking about what I would do in a public setting (certainly doesn't mean I think differently in private though!) Yeah, it's kind of lame, but it's probably worth it do avoid professional drama.

Here is the difference Lovie. Woodson hurts his collarbone, knows its broken and he can't play, yet the very next play he lines up to give the team his all. When he finds out at halftime it is indeed broken he cries and is so emotional he can't even address the team.

.......

Thats the difference, not the levels of toughness, but the leadership and the desire to win. Furthermore, the Packers' Aaron Rodgers went out of his way to defend Cutler. He called the players tweets about Cutler uncalled for, because Rodgers has class. It seems the Packers beat the Bears both on and off the field.

Best post I've read in weeks. And it's funny that Lovie completely deflects that aspect of it (the sulking) while criticizing everyone.
