How much of our spending on "military" truly is "defense" anymore?

How much military spending is used on obsolete materials not even being used our necessary. North Dakota has 2 Air Force bases that could very easily be consolidated into 1.

Not true - we got the good land. Oil in the west, fertile crops in the east. South Dakota is all Indian Reservations, dragging down all of us to the North. Oops, kind of sounds like I'm one of the haves not wanting to care of the have nots. 🙂 I know, I'm an asshole.
