Zero, do you have any problems with the lid hinges? Both mine and my wife's' laptop lid hinges are breaking off. Maybe you would losen yours and tell them it won't last another month.

If 93Z's suggestion doesn't work crash the system and tell them you can't get it back up without and upgrade.

What do you mean by the hinges breaking off? Usually the screws that hold the hinges to the frame loosen over time and that eventually will cause the screws to strip or the hinge to get damaged. Usually it's pretty easy to get at the screws, just need to remove a plastic panel that's protecting them.

Yep I know about loose screws. I have tightened them hundreds of time. So much so that the plastic threads have worn out on a few of them.
But the hinge wears out the slot they fit into as well.

So, Green Bay sent me the HP to replace my Dell with and for me to send my Dell back to be used as a checkout laptop.

I put in my request for the new memory and port replicator and the permission to use said laptop. After a week went by, I said screw'em. I started setting up the HP for use with the plan that I'll just send the Dell back and use the HP, what they gonna do bout it? Tell me I can't use it and then I'm computer less?

I just got word that the memory and port replicator were ordered last night. lol.

It's amazing how long of a process it is to get new equipment, especially when the equipment is already in the users possession. 10 days to say yes, we ordered the equipment. Company has over 112,000 employees you'd think they could find a more efficient process.
