Not enough has been said about how well he handled the transition to Starks. You see how Barnett and Finley handle something as trivial as a picture but Bjack was nothing but class after being cast aside towards the end of the season, and how he describes his appreciation for the franchise exemplifies this.

As many have said, BJack is a solid 3rd down back, good blocker, elusive enough in open space as a check down, so if Grant is healthy and he can be a 3rd down back, I'd love to have him back.

The benefits of having "Packer people" on the roster was very apparent this year, and something many players referenced as a reason for their success in post SB interviews (Hawk, Collins, and ARod all made reference to this). BJack is clearly a great example of "Packer people."

I see NO reason not to bring Jackson back. He's exceptional in the passing game, both as a blocker and a receiver. He doesn't command a huge salary. He's all class. He works hard.

Please sign him to an extension.

Great post. I agree 100% on his character. He's a leader for this team.

But, I only want him back if it's at the right salary for a 3rd down back. He's proven this year that he is not a solid RB. I would hate for the Pack to overspend to keep a leader like him if i means losing Cullen Jenkins, Jones, Peprah or one of the many guys who need to be resigned before next offseason (Finley, Nelson, Sitton, etc).

He'll be back. Edgar Bennett will lobby for him to return as he's our best blocker. Bennett said to our RBs that they need to protect Aaron like he protected Brett.

I've been clamoring for Jackson to be cut for over two years now. However, while this season clearly demonstrated that, contrary to the expectations of some, he is not equipped to be a featured back, it also showed that he can be durable (which was always his downfall in previous seasons and the primary reason for my dislike of him) and that, when called upon, he can snag yards in significant chunks. While his overall yardage wasn't impressive, he did have a nice number of 8- to 15-yard runs throughout the season and postseason. His lone run in the Super Bowl was for 14 yards, for example. He has also proven himself invaluable in the short-yardage passing game.

With the emergence of James Starks and the probable return of Ryan Grant to health, Brandon Jackson has been relegated to his rightful role of 3rd-string back and is no longer in line to take over should the first-stringer go down with injury. Given his contributions in the passing game, as well as his probable reasonable price, I'd like to rescind my call for his release and express my hope that he returns for the forthcoming season.

Nicely said. I think he's worth more to the Packers than anyone else, so he'll probably be back. By the way, in the Super Bowl that was a catch, not a run, for 14 yards.

Nice catch. You're exactly right. My point was that he is useful in the short- and medium-yardage game, which that catch demonstrates.

Martha Careful (5-May) : Yes, in the military S2’s work on IPB, PERCEC, PHYSEC and IO
dfosterf (4-May) : FYI civilian companies swipe the S2 designation from the military. S2 is the intelligence branch up to brigade level. G2 is division level.
dfosterf (4-May) : Google it. Make sure to tack NFL on it or you will get the military meaning
Zero2Cool (4-May) : S2?
beast (4-May) : Seems like the S2 has a love/hate relationship with professional scouts.
beast (4-May) : In theory, the S2 test how quickly a QBs brain can solve game like issues and how quickly they can do it.
dfosterf (4-May) : Are you gentlemen and at least one lady familiar with the S2 cognition
Zero2Cool (4-May) : Maybe there isn't an issue.
beast (4-May) : NFL really needs to fix their position labeling issue, but I don't think they care
Zero2Cool (1-May) : Packers did not activate the fifth-year options for linebacker Quay Walker, with the goal of signing him to a contract extension.

Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : Cowboys 1st round pick Tyler Booker will indeed be bringing his pet turtle to Dallas with him

Zero2Cool (27-Apr) : If we add Isaiah Simmons, book your Super Bowl tickets
Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : Colts 1st round TE Tyler Warren also got prank called, was that Jax Ulbrich as well?
Zero2Cool (27-Apr) : Jax Ulbrich, Jeff Ulbrich’s son, released an apology for his role in the Shedeur Sanders prank call.
Martha Careful (27-Apr) : apparently he did not participate in practice or play on the east west shrine game nor the NFL combine. The kid was a mediocre spoiled brat
Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : Yeah that one that was a super wounded duck that Sanders supporters are highlighting to prove a point
