Legursky seemed to do ok if I recall from the Jets game. Nothing to me stood out as noticing that Pouncey wasn't in there.

Jets D-lineman Trevor Pryce doesn't feel that way. He said today on 1st and 10 if Pouncey can play Steelers win, if he can't Packers win. He feels he makes that much of a difference to the Steelers line.

Steelers only gained 52 yards in the second half without Pouncey. Their offense was completely different.

Pouncey went out the play before the touchdown in the first quarter. So Legursky was in on all the offensive scoring drives. Here's a little knowledge about how bad the Steelers were after Pouncey went out. Yards rushing gained with Pouncey, 33. Yards rushing gained with Legursky, 115.

So they gained 33yds on the ground in 1 quarter with Pouncey, and 115 in 3 quarters with Legursky (33.8 yards/quarter). Not much of a difference so I'm not sure what your point is.

Pouncey is the best player on their line. There line is average at best (much like ours). I think we'd all be nervous if either Sitton or Clifton missed this game.

Point being the statement of him being the key to the win/lose for the Steelers is unfounded and silly. He played fine filling in the Championship game, I wouldn't expect different in the Super Bowl just like I expect our role players to fill shoes when needed and make a play.

He went out in the first quarter? Here's a little knowledge about math. 33 yds X 4 (quarters) = 132 total yards if Pouncey would have stayed in the game. 115 yds / 3 (quarters played) = 38 yards per quarter, so if Legursky would have been in the whole game, he would have racked up 152 yds (38 X 4).

NOW, we can look at the extrapolated 33 vs. 38 yds per quarter, or the 132 vs. 152 yds, but what it boils down to is that Pouncey would have helped account for 87% of the yards that Legursky did. It should also be taken into consideration that the injury did not happen directly at the end of the quarter, so the numbers are skewed. Also, Mendenhall was just warming up in the 1st quarter, as RB's do, and fell into more of a sync during the game. When stepping back and looking at the predicted 4-quarter contributions for either Center, the difference is very negligible.

I heard somewhere that Pouncey struggles against big NTs. Well, Raji is a big NT. Pouncey seems kind of little so I don't see him being able to handle Raji anyway.

Any Packers fan shouldn't be relieved a starter won't be playing. Packers lost a half dozen or so starters and the player coming in for them outplayed them on several of those positions.

I'm not feeling luckier because their starting center may miss the game.
