I'm just surprised that the Packers are the favorites after a ho-hum offensive showing today.

Kinda surprised we are the favorite. But, I like. Seems Vegas wants people putting money on the steelers!

you guys seem to forget we are playing in a dome and especially against pittsburgh whom isnt so good against the pass.

We they have a nice run D and get sacks; but if arod lights it up in the sky ... IMO we should trounce the steelers.

Steelers are tough, but we faced tough teams before and we will do it again.

Very true, but the Steelers were also able to ice the game with their offense, something the Packers failed to do a number of times in the 2nd half in spite of many opportunities in Bears' territory.

I also thought there was a perception that the AFC is still stronger than the NFC, the Steelers have more SB experience, etc.

Again, don't get me wrong, if the Packers play like they did vs. ATL they showed that at their best nobody in the league can beat them. However, based on what I mentioned, I figured Pitt would be slight favorites.

Makes sense when you think about it. The Dome thing makes Rodgers a lot more dangerous, so its like giving the Packers the home field advantage and giving them the -3 hometeam thing. But I suspect the line will move with people betting on the Steelers D and experience (and the fact God is a Steelers fan).

You know what's crazy, that Big Ben is under 30 and this is his 3rd SB. You forgot how young he actually is. I think a lot of the Steelers success is the D but he still has to stand in there and come up with those late game drives.

The thing that scares me about the Steelers is that they're a real team. One part of the team folds and the other picks it up. For example, Ben R sucked against the Jets (35.5 rating with 0 TDs and 2 INTs but to be fair he did run in one) but the D held the Jets to 3 points in the 1st half and Mendenhal had a solid game.

They always seem to do that. When their D folds, their O explodes. When Ben R sucks, the rest of the team compensates.

I was really hoping we'd face the Jets. We can beat the Steelers but this game's not going to be easy.

I agree - but I do like the fact that the steelers secondary isnt as good as the jets ... and I like that we are playing in a dome; so Im a bit interested to see how many yards we get in the air vs the steelers.

But the same is true of the Packers...actually the D has never really let the team down, the offense has just sputtered at times.

Taking off the green 'n gold glasses, I think this is just one hell of a game. 2 teams that are basically the same from fan following, to history, to elusive qbs, to dominant NTs, this is just an amazing match-up that Godell must be drooling over right now!
