It would certainly be nice to get a ring for a few of these guys. It's great to look at how young our team is overall, especially the players that stand out the most. We should have a lucrative 8-10 years ahead of us.

Not if we continue to draft and develop young players like we have been. I guess that's yet to be seen, but things definitely look promising.

As long as we keep the conveyor belt of talent full and don't mortgage our future on a big name FA or two, I don't see why they couldn't keep this up indefinitely. Within reason of course.
I want to go out like my Grandpa did. Peacefully in his sleep.

Holding on to McCarthy, Capers, and Thompson will play an enormous role in putting together a legacy. These three are a pyramid. When one goes, either the pyramid will fall, or it will not be as tall. Think about it.

Head coaches and GMs stay when things are going well. DCs or OCs usually get promotions.

Thing is, there are a hand full of these guys out there every year. Great cordinators who fail as HCs and who try to get back a job as a DC.

Mike Nolan did just as good a job in Denver as Capers did here. There's usually some guys available who can make something happen when they have the talent.

Yes, Capers gets the most out of these guys, but his staff helps a lot, as well.

Trgovac was a rather good DC, as well. I think he used to run a 4-3, but a lot of coordinators can change their style a tad bit.

ya I been thinking about that and that is if we win the big game; where will capers and kevin greene be next year ...
Id like it if the packers gave both of them a raise next year to make leaving less attractive.

Besides capers has tried HC jobs and hasnt done too well; Im hoping he will just want to concentrate on what he is good at and let other people MM and Ted Thompson do what they are good at.

I hate to see how our team would do with all out starters back; finley and grant and our other DTs in the lineup ...

dfosterf (4-May) : Google it. Make sure to tack NFL on it or you will get the military meaning
Zero2Cool (4-May) : S2?
beast (4-May) : Seems like the S2 has a love/hate relationship with professional scouts.

Zero2Cool (4-May) : Maybe there isn't an issue.
