Jan Cavanaugh had Aaron Rodgers sign two things prior to the Eagles game. Many players confirm that Jan is there quite often. She was also there when the Packers arrived at 3am Sunday.

This is from Jason Wilde whom said this was confirmed. Jason said because there were no camera's prior to the Eagles game when he signed two things for her, that it went unnoticed. He also said that Aaron is heavy in the Make A Wish and MACC foundations.

I did a quick google when looking for the Cheri/angel article and the first thing that popped up was an article about him spending time with a 21 year old UWGB cancer patient, in other words, it took virtually no effort on my part to pull up articles about his generosity.

However, Florio decides to contort a 3 second video into a vitriolic rant about how Aaron is an unsympathetic cancer-survivor-hating ingrate.

Is there a hidden agenda here?!?

I made a fairly lengthy post at PFT, it's yet to go through, but that was one thing I addressed.

I'd prefer well researched articles over SHOCK articles, which I feel this falls into that category. Unfortunately we as a society crave the negative, so that's where they go. If we stopped paying so much attention to the negative, we'd see less of it.

Haven't seen them this year, because their shitty site doesn't function in linux, but when I saw them they were pretty funny...

I was actually looking for your post but didn't see anything (yet)...I wonder why?!?

You're spot on about negativity. We could be reading a nice article right now about Matthews spending time to meet with her, but instead Florio decides to cherry pick components of the story to spin it negatively.

Yup; Ubuntu Maverick. I'm wondering if you just need the w32codecs package. You can get it by adding the Medibuntu repository . Or maybe trying a different browser might help; the site works for me here on Opera and Firefox (haven't tried it in Chrome).

I'm usually not that big a fan of Aaron Nagler, but wow, he hits this one out of the park.

PFT decided my post wasn't worthy, imagine that. I did kind of come down hard and called Mike weak for not doing due diligence.

Anyhow, check this out.

Fans with playoff fever, sent the players off on a good note by cheering them on as they boarded the plane at Austin Straubel Airport. Other fans, sporting their Packer gear already getting pumped up for a big play-off game.

Cashiers at Festival Foods in De Pere, were wearing Packer jerseys to get their customers revved up for Saturday. Other fans staked it out at Austin Straubel Airport in Ashwaubenon, to get autographs from players. "I want Clay Mathews to sign my jersey that my husband gave me for Christmas," says Packer Fan, Jan Cavanaugh. Turns out the newly named, defensive player of the year wanted to make Jan's wish come true and signed her jersey.

Donald Driver, also making several fans highlight reels too. "I met him once at a book signing and we only got one autograph, so it's pretty cool to have two," says Packer Fan Hollie Van Lanen. "Donald is a really nice guy, I personally admire him because I wrote a speech on him and than he signed an autograph for me," says another Packer Fan, Joshua Werner.

Some players arrived with their game faces on, like quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Loyal supports, said autograph or no autograph they were just excited to be there to cheer on the green and gold to victory.

Last Friday, an Action 2 News report featured a breast cancer survivor seeking Aaron Rodgers's autograph as the Packers were departing for Atlanta. Video of the Packers quarterback walking past the woman as she held out a hat for him to sign went viral -- and Rodgers came under fire.

The woman at the center of the controversy says she's shocked and upset by comments critical of Rodgers's actions at Austin Straubel airport.

Jan Cavanaugh and her husband are die hard Packers fans. The pair is often at the airport to see the team off for away games and on the edge of their seats when the Packers play.

When she talks about the team, Jan includes herself on the roster, referring to the Packers as "we."

"We sat yesterday and watched the whole game, and we're so excited that we're going to play the Bears," she said.

But her excitement over an NFC Championship match-up has been tempered.

Aaron Rodgers and other players didn't autograph her cap as she saw them off to Atlanta -- but it's not the hat she's upset about, it's the Internet and radio chatter created by the video of Rodgers passing her by.

"I was terribly upset this morning because I did not realize what was online, and opened up my email," she said, "and I was just shocked."

Just a week earlier, Rodgers autographed Jan's pink jersey bearing the number 12, and a few years ago the now-star quarterback signed a number of things for her.

Jan says they've kept everything players have signed for them except for a few items they gave to family members.

While she is distressed over the controversy, Cavanaugh won't let it dampen her excitement for the packers.

"We're really big football fans and the Packers are our team, and we just think that this is the team to root for, so Go Pack Go!"

If Florio is going to accept responsibility, he should post the truth on profootballtalk and at least admit his mistake. He basically called Rodgers an ass, which is ridiculous. Personally, I also thought the video looked really bad myself, so it is good to know WBAY is putting this out there instead of ignoring it. I guess looks can be deceiving indeed. If he's signed things for her before, then he certainly doesn't need to go out of his way to do it again.
