they'll report this and call Rodgers an A-hole, but leave out all the good things he does.

To be fair, you can expand this claim to "reporting" more generally.

These days, reporting is done on events / actions / stories that are based on something bad. Rarely is the nature of reporting based on something good happening.

It is the nature of the beast, I suppose. Hard to criticize writers for that, IMO.

But in claiming Aaron needs to understand where his money comes from, I think it is a shortcoming that they did not even seemingly do any research on some of the things Aaron has done for fans.

I can "see" how someone could be a fan, then stop, but not if they're covering the team's overall sport.

I've mentioned my desire to be a writer for the Packers, but I could never be a writer for any other team, which is why I'll never live out that dream. Being a scout, or anything related to the Packers that required me dedicating my time to the Packers success would be the dream of a life time for me.

It just can't happen because that's an impossible dream. My luck, I'd get a degree in journalism or whatever and get a job with the Vikings. My efforts would be two-fold, one Vikings, two Packers, lol.

Anyhow, you should trust me. I don't say things for the sake of saying them, you should know this by now that when I say something, its because it's true. 🙂

How about.. before passing judgment.. allowing Rodgers to respond.

As classy as the guy as been throughout his brief career.. I would imagine that he will right and perceived wrong.

PFTalk will reach occasionally to stir a story.. with or without facts. See Terry Bradshaw. lol.

Said person was a fan of a pro-sport team since growing up, and flat out stated that covering the team as a grown up made him lose all interest / passion he once had. He said having access to the inner workings of the team and realizing so much of the BS and nonsensical stuff that goes on (both amongst players and those higher in the ranks) makes you fall out of love pretty quick. He actually went as far as to say that any team he did root for, he wanted no part ever in covering.

Kind of like how being in the military caused me to lose any vestige of respect I ever had for it.

It gets on my nerves the way I'm still a sucker for the "brotherhood and camaraderie" of military-themed movies, for example, because I know what the day-to-day life is actually like.

Oh, I trust what you write is not based on fabrication.

I just wanted to be pointed out to the thing that led people to imply he was still a Vikings fan.

Not a fan of this BS reporting... they needed to fill a space while casting some negative light on Rodgers for what was almost surely a misunderstanding... Horseshit

Tom Pelissero did a good job of reporting for the Pack, whilst being secretly a Queens fan. Or presumably one, since he was from the Cities, and jumped ship to go back there when the opportunity arose. Kevin Seiffert is the biggest puke in journalism. Up until now, I've never known Florio to be overtly biased. Except for a time or two when I've seen him favor the Steelers.
