http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/01/16/aaron-rodgers-leaves-teammates-in-awe/

In a town with so much football tradition, writers on the Green Bay Packers beat are usually cautious to throw out hyperbole.

Yet the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel and Green Bay Press-Gazette didnt hesitate to call the performance by Aaron Rodgers on Saturday night against the Falcons one of the greatest by a quarterback in the teams playoff history. If not the greatest.

Rodgers teammates certainly agreed.

Guard Daryn Colledge said that he couldnt wait to watch the film so he could get a better look.

Greg Jennings: Oh, my gosh, the guy is a phenomenal quarterback. He played lights out today. He played absolutely lights out. When hes playing like that, boy he makes us a tough team to beat.

Donald Driver: When our big dog is playing well, all the other big dogs roll behind him. And thats how we roll.

ESPN.coms Ross Tucker was one of many media members similarly in awe: I know this sounds crazy, but Aaron Rodgers throws like Dan Mariono & moves like Steve Young. He really does. Im still not over it.

Rodgers only had five incompletions during his 366-yard, four touchdown performance. One was a drop. On another, his intended receiver fell. Rodgers constantly escaped Falcons defenders ready to sack him, then made plays outside of the pocket . He admitted it was probably his best performance as a pro.

Hes a Pro Bowl quarterback and hes not there, Colledge told Gary DAmato. He deserves to be there. So maybe he goes to the Super Bowl instead of the Pro Bowl. I think hed take that.

I was just amazed at Aaron last night. I'm so glad he's our QB. He didn't let the pressure fluster him once. I loved how he kept spinning out of trouble.

Certainly a great QB. We are lucky as Packer fans.

It was one of the most amazing things I'd ever seen in the playoffs. My Ravens buddy who was deflated after his game went belly up just kept watching last night in awe, exasperated at what kind of quarterback we've got. Even myself...I knew what he was capable of but shit was blowing my mind.

I agree with Twinkiegorilla.

I finally have confidence in the offense. Sure they'll have the normal Mike McCarthy brainfarts at times, but they can move the ball consistently. I think right now they can beat anybody. I thought that at the beginning of the season, but for awhile there, I was beginning to wonder.

I don't often laugh during a playoff game, but the way the Packers dominated the game, and specifically some of the plays Rodgers was making had me in stitches last night! I can't recall the last time I've had that much fun watching a Packer game!

Tramon's pick six had me jumping off the couch to the floor on my back kicking my feet up and screaming. It was a helluva fun game.

I agree with Twinkiegorilla.

Zero2Cool (4-Nov) : Shefter says Browns and Lions will figure out how to get a deal done for Za'Darius Smith..
Zero2Cool (4-Nov) : Packers are more likely to have 1,000 yard rusher than 4,000 yard passer
