As I've said previously, I think Burnett beats Peprah next off season, but I think Peprah outplayed Burnett in '10.

Grant is worth at least a couple points a game. Fin is probably equal to that. All our losses have been by 3-4. One more first down throw, one more 3rd and 1 converted a game in the 6 losses. We win.

I think we would be closer to 1st seed than where we are now if we had those two the whole season.

I would bet our running game would have close to twice as many yards.

I doubt that Rodgers sneaks and fumbles in Atl if we have Grant and Fin.
I want to go out like my Grandpa did. Peacefully in his sleep.

Bulaga is up to par with Tauscher yet. Other than that, agree with IronMan.

I've said this before in other threads but IMO it is not just the guys we lost on IR but the additional loss of players for games that hurt us. We were already down on players and then lost Pickett and CM3 for a game and a half. We went to NE without Rodgers or Jenkins.

At some point the ability to play at a level it can has to sffer. The team was able to overcome the IR guys that were out but from what I saw the other injuries that kept important players off the 45 for some games put us just past the threshold of playing up to that place they have shown they can go.

One thing that is GOOD about the injuries is all the playing time/experience the players who stepped into the various roles got as a result.

The coaches, TT, and co. really know what we have on our roster, pretty much top-to-bottom. The personnel decisions that will have to made in the future are going to happen with those gentlemen armed with quite a bit more knowledge than they would have achieved absent the injuries.

This also holds true as to an increased value for some of these players if Ted Thompson and co. have the opportunity to negotiate moves with other teams. A lot of what we would have called "back-up" value players are now known as "starter" material, and really, with few exceptions, the original starters haven't really lost value comparative to the gain the backups will have.

What is really good about this is just how good Ted Thompson is (IMO) at making these tough decisions- and there are some tough ones coming-we all disagree with him and the staff at times, but it is rare that what we see doesn't seem to make sense when viewed in the context of what he actually has in front of him-- information-wise.

Also, "options" for the FO tend to take away player leverage when $$$ time comes around....a/k/a "me" time vs. "we" time (which is the season proper.)

I think we can all say that things are looking up for next season, from a fan/offseason perspective, regardless of the outcome Saturday. It's almost like we are going to have about a 15 player draft (from the IR) before the draft, and it's going to be FUN to see Jermichael and Ryan back in the discussion, for example...

Perhaps in the limited sample time, but I can't help but wonder if Burnett would have grown over the season to be better than Peprah. Either way, it's great to see Peprah playing as well as he is.

6 losses by 4 or less points. A play each of those losses, and we could have been undefeated.
But reality is, we are the 6th seed, and have to fight and claw for the SB.

What makes me feel good is that we were not blown out of ANY game this year. It makes me believe we can hang with any team.

What if?

Crosby makes the FG against the Redskins.

Rodgers scores instead of fumbling on the goalline at Atlanta.

The Packers are the #1 seed hosting the Bears and Seattle is at Atlanta.

What if Randy Moss had caught the ball that Favre lofted into the endzone? What if the Lions had another minute in week 4, where they were controlling the game, no doubt? What if we hadn't stopped Vick when he was driving for a TD at the end of week 1 and during the WildCard game? The "what if's" can go both ways. It is easy to be able to say that we could have gone 16-0, since we lost by no more than 4 pts all season, but we also have close wins. It is simply too convenient to be able to forget about those.

We are what we are. A 10-6 team that is 10-6. With that, we are the team that lost 6 games by a total of 20 pts and all season long, never trailed by more than 7. That means that we can never be completely ruled out.

Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
