1: Grant isn't much good right now at all, is he?
2: Starks is faster, quicker, has vision, can cut, can catch the ball. Can make people miss.

Great point. Starks is better than Grant right now since Grant is on IR and can't touch the field. In that case, Jordy Nelson is better than Jerry Rice because Rice is retired.

Obviously we are talking about these guys if they were in condition to play, nerdmann.

There is no way we can say, after 1 game, that James Starks is better than Ryan Grant, given Grant is healthy.

I'd say Starks looks like he can cut. Can SEE holes open. Can make people miss. Is quick. Can get the corner. Can catch. But hey man, if you wanna take my challenge and bet that Starks won't turn out to be as good as Grant, go right ahead. But you'll be the first.

I'm not betting because I hope like hell that you're right. Grant is good, but if we can have somebody that is better, why would that be a bad thing? If the Vikings could have somebody better than AP, one of the best in the league, they'd take it, who wouldn't? I'm just saying that at this point, it is all mere speculation and opinion. Again, I hope you are right.

Most important question: Can he block?

As long as A-Rod is on this team, that's all I care about.

I'm not saying Grant sucks. I'm saying Starks is better.

Just a little side note on Grants 1200+ last year. Of the 1253yards. 258 were in what would be classified garbage time. You know that game in hand in the 4th qtr and we just run the ball down the defense to eat the clock. You know those situations where McCarthy has refused to use Jackson.

If making the playing field even that drops Grant down to 995 yards. Still 4.19 so I would take it, but not as big a loss as made out. The problem is McCarthy.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!
